Surrey Machinists’ Co. 52 “ Ordinary bicycle, circa 1885 

This Ordinary has a 52 inch driving wheel with direct spokes to a hollow rim.
The replaced 15 inch tail wheel is of pram-like construction.
The oval backbone and forks are hollow.
The handlebars are cow-horn type with T-handles. One pedal and the brake are missing and saddle, step and pedal are replacements.
The machine has been repainted bright red.
