Tricycle small ca. 1885

This small size tricycle is of unknown manufacture. She’s in original condition and was found with two stablemates hanging from the ceiling in a traditional Belgian pub in the city of Ghent. Front wheel is ca 18 inch, rear wheels are ca. 38 inch. The front wheel is self-centring; when the handlebars are turned the steering column is pushed against a cam and the wheel back is forced back in a straight position when the pressure on the handlebars is relieved. This unspoilt tricycle comes without tyres but with wooden hand grips, 3- spring original saddle, spoon brake and Lucas “Petroleum Silver King” lamp.
