Vintage Handmade Stella D'Italia Catania Ca. 1950
This mandolin was made by the Stella D'Italia Catania company, " sometime in the first half of the 20th century.It plays well, stays in tune, and sounds like an old mandolin is supposed to sound.
The condition is better than "good." No cracks or structural issues apart from 1 small (See last photo's ) . All seams and joints are solid. The tuners are firm and functional. You'll see in the photos, some minor nicks and scuffs, as you'd expect from a mandolin of this vintage.
The wood is good, the sound is good.If you've always wanted an old-style mandolin, this is the time.
