Up for auction is a nice 1943 copy of the United States Army Technical Manual TM 30-341 entitled "Japanese Language Guide". It covers many useful Japanese words and phrases as required for the invasion of Japanese held terrority. This booklet has some black-and-white illustrations to accompany the instructional text; these booklets were issued to the troops just prior to the invasion of Japanese held territory, to facilitate interrogation and communication of/between Japanese soldiers/POW's, locals etc.
