Offered for auction is a very difficult to find US WW2 First Aid Jeep Kit Aeronautic First Aid kit, as used in the famous Willys Jeep a significant part of the original contents are still here! What is there is all 100% WW2, no postwar stuff there as is so often the case! The kit is in nice functional condition a beautiful label and almost all paint remaining; the marking stock on the front suggests it was produced 1944/1945. Althogether a fantastic set. for your Willys or other US vehicle I will let the photo's do the talking, all other boxes not in detail photographed are alo filled. Even the ointment tubes are present!
In order to offer the best possible first response treatment in the event of a crash or injury involving the vehicle or its passengers, the United States Army Medical Department introduced a series of Motor Vehicle First-Aid Kits. These kits were specifically designed for certain vehicles, and this reflected in their contents. Each kit was divided into units, each of which was individually packaged within the metal container, and these included basic gauze dressings, tourniquets, along with medication such as Ammonia.
