set of 50 large gilded Sterling Silver art medals, each depicting one of the most famous works of Impressionist art. This set was published by Le Medailler, the French branch of the Franklin Mint, in 1974-1979 in honor of the 100th anniversary of the first Impressionist Art exhibition. masterpieces by Renoir, Manet, Degas, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cezanne, and more. This is the type of sets that made the Franklin Mint famous - large art medals struck in a beautiful detail in Proof condition.- These medals are 45mm in diameter, weighing almost 40 grams each. Total weight of the set is 62.5 troy ounces.

This series is almost 50 years old. Proofset sometimes there is a blue glow on 2 or 3 medals. A soft cloth is sufficient if you want. I do not as good proofliker.

Each medal tells a different highlight. almost 1950 grams in total. only the silver and gold price is already a small asset here.

Incidentally, later expenses are no longer gilded. This series is therefore unique.
